Paddock Community Trust

Lifelong Learning and Support in Kirklees

Community @Paddock

Paddock Village Hall not only acts as the administrative centre for the charity but is a hub of activity which allows members of the community to become involved; developing new skills and makes a positive difference to their own and others’ lives.

The Learning Centre includes training rooms and IT Suite, where both formal training courses and open access sessions are available.

In 2012 the Charity received Big Lotto funding to develop allotments and create a volunteer led café. A community shop was opened in 2012 in the centre of Paddock to support the work of the Trust and a small library at the Village Hall opened in 2013 all of which actively promote social activity, training opportunities and healthy eating.

Volunteering with the Trust is a great way to develop skills and make a positive contribution to the community.

In addition to our volunteer opportunities and community learning provision we also deliver the West View Social Club weekly at the West View Social club is a project which aims to help and support those suffering from mental health problems to improve their quality of life, develop confidence and skills and to encourage them to make a positive contribution.

Training rooms, The ICT suite and the Main Hall at Paddock Village Hall are available for hire (Booking Form). If you would like further details or to check availability please contact the main office on 01484 431400.
